Title: Configuration Engineer II
Location: Norfolk, VA (on-site)
Responsible for supporting the production and test environments used to support Regional, Enterprise and/or other special mobile project releases.
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
Manages and executes build, installation scripts and deployment scripts.
Monitors system performance and capacity for all production, development and test environments and troubleshoots environmental issues.
Analyze and interpret system and application log data to identify system issues/failures.
Manages and maintains migrations of applications and configurations between environments and validates environments for integrity.
Compile release notes to summarize contents of each migration and creates scripts to migrate code.
Works to maintain and enhance the security posture of mobile computing applications and platforms
Provides transitions and deployment of application code to all environments.
Problem solving and critical thinking capabilities.
Qualifications
Requires BA/BS in Information Technology, Computer Science or related degree or combination of education and experience providing an equivalent background; Appropriate equivalent experience may be substituted for academic training.
2+ years of IT experience, including experience in an application development environment.
You will work in a mobile application production environment which requires periodic on-call rotational support.
Tomcat, Websphere, Weblogic and/or Jboss experience is preferred.
Understanding and experience in multi-tier web/mobile architectures is strongly preferred.
