  • The right candidate has only done email marketing in their career, not digital marketing managers, not SEO OR SEM, but email.


  • We need someone with a lot experience on the strategy side of things.
  • They will be responsible for the strategy and execution of around 1,500 - 2,000 email campaigns per year across 10 specialties.
  • Someone who managed all of this for an agency might be an interesting fit
  • Manager notes - looking for a contractor to help manage/oversee our email program. They would need Pardot and HTML / CSS experience.

  • Strong project management background in email marketing campaigns
  • Deep experience with email automation, including the building and optimizing of campaigns and
  • managing customer profiles
  • Outstanding analytical, quantitative, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
  • HTML/CSS experience is a plus
  • 6+ years of experience in email marketing
  • Expert knowledge of Pardot and Salesforce
  • Bachelors Degree preferred


  • Email Marketing Manager will own, maintain, optimize, and report on our e-mail and nurture campaigns.
  • The Email Marketing Manager will utilize email communication tools (Pardot, Salesforce, Drift, others) to market products and services and increase brand awareness.
  • They will be an expert in the usage of email communications and develop marketing strategies and distribution techniques in order to execute campaigns that successfully engage consumers and ultimately drive profit.
  • This will require a dynamic and detail-oriented marketer who can learn quickly, be a part of a larger team but also work independently, operate at scale, and execute delivery with acute attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • You will work closely with our vertical marketing managers, content team, and design team to improve communications and send the right message at the right time to the right audience.
  • Develop and manage our comprehensive email marketing program to acquire new customers and retain existing customers.
  • Strategically contact consumers, reaching out to specific subsets based on targeted audience and identifying email best practices and email calendars based on effective campaign timing.
  • They will design contact methods that not only target the appropriate consumers but also develop audience bases that are optimized for retention.
  • Work cross-functionally to project manage, research, build, and implement new email and nurture campaigns for audience growth and retention.
  • Throughout the course of an email marketing campaign, the Email Marketing Manager will manage email lists for the campaigns and create an ongoing schedule of content.
  • They identify and address any technical issues with the campaign in conjunction with the IT department.
  • Throughout the campaign they monitor performance and make adjustments accordingly.
  • Analyze the performance of email campaigns and unveil insights and opportunities to improve customer engagement
  • Track and report success metrics, KPIs and insights for all email campaigns and other key activities.
  • After each email marketing campaign, the Email Marketing Manager will generate and analyze data from the campaign in order to identify strengths and weaknesses. The Email Marketing Manager will use their assessment in order to better optimize future email marketing campaigns.
  • Manage our marketing automation platform (Pardot) to execute and report on email marketing campaigns and nurture programs.
