Job Summary:

The Workday Project Manager is responsible for leading the planning, execution, and delivery of Workday Financials implementations and enhancements. This role serves as a bridge between finance stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring that Workday solutions align with business goals and financial processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end implementation of Workday Financials modules (e.g., General Ledger, Accounts Payable/Receivable, Asset Management).
  • Develop and manage project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocations.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including finance, IT, and external consultants.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between finance stakeholders and Workday technical teams.
  • Facilitate workshops and meetings to gather requirements and communicate project status.
  • Oversee integrations between Workday Financials and other enterprise systems.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within financial operations.
  • Monitor project risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and present regular status reports to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation including business requirements, test plans, and training materials.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of project management experience, preferably in financial systems or ERP implementations.
  • Experience Managing Workday implementation or integration projects is required.
  • Strong understanding of financial processes and accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Smartsheet).
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with Workday Financials modules and reporting tools.
  • Understanding of system integrations and data migration strategies.
