Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Wireless Solutions Architect Lead Engineer to oversee the design, development, and implementation of advanced wireless network solutions. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical leadership capabilities and deep expertise in wireless technologies, RF engineering, network architecture, and enterprise-level solution delivery. This role requires strategic thinking, hands-on engineering proficiency, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive architectural decisions and solution outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the end-to-end design and architecture of wireless network solutions for enterprise and service provider environments.

  • Develop scalable architectures involving Wi-Fi, 4G LTE, 5G, private cellular networks, IoT connectivity, and RF frameworks.

  • Conduct wireless site surveys, spectrum analysis, and coverage planning using industry tools.

  • Define wireless network standards, security frameworks, performance KPIs, and network optimization strategies.

  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and business teams to define solution requirements and project deliverables.

  • Provide architectural guidance on access, core, transport, and edge integration for wireless deployments.

  • Evaluate emerging technologies, vendor solutions, and market trends to drive innovation.

  • Oversee proof-of-concept testing, lab validation, and network readiness assessments.

  • Lead troubleshooting and performance tuning efforts across complex wireless environments.

  • Create architecture documentation, network diagrams, engineering design guides, and deployment playbooks.

  • Present solution recommendations and technical roadmaps to leadership and client stakeholders.

  • Support RFP, proposal development, and solution costing efforts.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.

  • 12+ years of professional experience in wireless engineering and network architecture roles.

  • Deep knowledge of wireless standards and technologies including Wi-Fi 6/6E, Wi-Fi 7, 4G LTE, 5G, CBRS/OnGo, IoT connectivity protocols, and RF planning.

  • Strong hands-on experience with wireless vendor solutions such as Cisco, Aruba, Juniper Mist, Ruckus, Ericsson, Nokia, or similar.

  • Experience with wireless assessment and survey tools such as Ekahau, AirMagnet, iBwave, or similar.

  • Proficient understanding of routing, switching, security, firewalls, authentication protocols, and network integration.

  • Strong experience designing high-availability and high-performance architectures.

  • Ability to mentor engineering teams and lead technical decisions.

  • Excellent analytical, communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills
  • Master's degree in a technical discipline.

  • Professional certifications such as CWNP (CWDP, CWNA, CWNE), CCNP Wireless, CCIE Wireless, Nokia or Ericsson 5G Certifications.

  • Experience in private 5G networks, network slicing, SD-WAN, network orchestration, and automation.

  • Familiarity with cloud networking platforms including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

  • Experience supporting public safety wireless networks or mission-critical communications systems.

  • Knowledge of network security frameworks and zero-trust models.

  • Background in telecom service provider network architecture and mobility core solutions.
