Position: UX Lead- 8-10 years experience in tactical UX Location: WFH then Princeton, NJ- so local candidates Industry: Pharma/life sciences MUST HAVE Duration: 6 month+ Interview: Video and multiple interviews Work Status: USC or GC Preferred. No H1B candidates. EAD or F1, L1 or OPT candidates must have at least 16 months left on their visa. Client will not write visa letters. This person will be enthusiastic about doing the work and leading junior designers. This is largely a design role, and not a purely tactical role. They will be responsible for holistic UX strategy across a project, and be a self-starter. What are the MUST haves? 4 year design degree from a non-profit university majority of career in an enterprise or high-tech setting not an agency setting Strong business acumen in Pharma/Life Science CONSULTANT has to have at least 8 years exp 8-10 Pharma/Life science background gets priority The User Experience (UX) team functions as an Expertise Center focused on User Experience Strategy, Research and Design. Organizationally, UX resides within the Business Technology Practice Area which works with clients to design effective technology solutions that support & enhance critical business processes and manage the implementation of those solutions. Within this practice area, the UX team, specifically, spearheads a variety of engagements from large scale business transformation to interactive dashboards, portals, and applications for mobile and desktop. USER EXPERIENCE LEAD User Experience Leads drive initiatives that make solutions useful, usable and desirable for people. This role works across various lifecycle stages, from initial definition to continuous enhancement, as we integrate user-centered design into the work of multi-disciplinary teams and broad range of client engagements. We will look to you for expertise in both hands-on production and direction in guiding UX strategy, research, and design. Responsibilities: Produce standardized, effective design deliverables to articulate user research insights, design concepts and final deliverables; Strive for maximum usability and user engagement for the end-to-end experience by implementing best-of-practice design solutions and leveraging industry standards; Partner with members of the User Experience leadership team comprised of designers, and researchers to nurture a design thinking culture and grow a best-in-class UX practice that's recognized inside and outside of the firm; Partner and collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams throughout all stages of the user-centered design process including documentation of user types, scenarios and tasks, as well as conceptual models and process flows, wireframes and mock-ups and other related design artifacts; Support the planning of qualitative and quantitative user research. Participate in testing, analysis and synthesis of research and communicate findings back to clients, project teams and colleagues as appropriate. User research may include ethnographic studies, user interviews, usability testing, card-sorting, and heuristic reviews. Qualifications: Required: Bachelor's or Master's degree in a visual design field. including graphic design, interaction design, industrial design, illustration or comparable design discipline Optional, depending on experience: Bachelor's, Master's or PhD in human computer interaction, human factors, information science or a human-computer interaction discipline; 10+ years of experience in enabling and delivering complex high-volume, high profile business applications, portals, mobile applications, interactive dashboards, data visualization and information graphics; Excellent communication and collaboration skills with experience guiding design decisions and obtaining consensus on project requirements and deliverables with all levels of management; Well versed and fluent in the user-centered design (UCD) process; applying it to the design of complex, transactional systems; Strongly developed business sensibility and the ability to deeply and quickly understand varying business needs holistically. Demonstrated experience in healthcare project and program management, including scope definition, deadlines and stakeholder management; Expertise in the craft of user interface design coupled with proficient visual design sensibility; Familiarity with Web and mobile technologies, interactive dashboards and data visualization; Proven experience and comprehension of mobile design best of practices; Understanding of user research techniques such as contextual inquiry, user interviews and usability testing, with the ability to explain various research types to clients, as well as the ability to incorporate insights from research studies and synthesize the findings into the visual user experience; the ability to plan and oversee a research study is required, but the candidate does not need to know how to execute every type of research study Excellent understanding of common information architecture principles, metadata models, and their associated development techniques; knowledge of healthcare-related taxonomies and ontologies preferred; Functional understanding of enterprise software is required as well as being adept at collaborating with technical teams to reach feasible solutions in portals, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, content management systems, collaboration technologies, and business intelligence to support Sales, Marketing, Human Resources, Finance, and other operational functions; Demonstrated ability to multitask and work effectively on several projects simultaneously in a matrixed and fast paced environment with a tenacity to overcome ambiguity; Robust and diverse portfolio featuring user-centered design work that lead to positive business outcomes; Ability to travel to client locations (10-25%) to work with teams and provide in-person expertise;
