Job description
Be responsible for enterprise wide Queue Management Administer messaging infrastructure across distributed platforms including; UNIX (AIX and Linux), WINDOWS
Utilize WebSphere MQ Administration (V8.x &above) on distributed platforms (AIX, Linux, and Windows)
Troubleshoot platform on AIX, Linux and Windows systems, build and run script Administer MQ using MQE and command line using MQSC commands
Design and build Distributed Queue Management Administer and manage MQ Clusters
Setup security for WebSphere MQ queues & other objects for data access and for administration using role-based security
Perform software installations and patches to WebSphere MQ servers
Be able to work with MQ monitoring tools like BMC Qpasa, Tivoli
Provide expertise in Kafka brokers, zookeepers, Kafka connect, schema registry, KSQL, Rest proxy and Kafka Control center.
Standing up and administering on premise Kafka platform
Define Kafka topics/partitions, Kakfa Storage
Perform Kafka log analysis and ensure optimum performance, high availability and stability of solutions
Create topics, setup redundancy cluster, deploy monitoring tools, alerts and has good knowledge of best practices
Perform provisioning, access lists Kerberos and SSL configurations
Involve with grouping/clustering and high volume systems
Evaluate, install and deploy changes including new applications, security patches and other changes through lower environments to minimize the likelihood of negatively impacting production availability
Configure & Support AMQ/MQ platform, such as Queue manager, Broker, routes, karaf.
Troubleshoot AMQ Issues and avoiding re-occurring issues by providing permanent fixes.
Monitor Active MQ queues, Consumer connectivity to Queues, ActiveMQConsole page, web page, J console and AMQ Gateway boxes.
