Job Title : Sr. System Administrator – Laptop Refresh Specialist

Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior System Administrator – Laptop Refresh Specialist to support a large-scale hardware refresh initiative. This is a hands-on role focused on device deployment, user profile migration, and post-deployment support. The ideal candidate will have experience in laptop refresh projects and be capable of managing deployments with minimal disruption to end users while ensuring compliance with security and IT asset management policies.
This position requires regular travel to remote office locations and strong coordination skills to ensure smooth execution across multiple deployment sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute end-to-end operating system deployments and laptop configurations
- Manage secure data transfer and profile migration from legacy devices
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware/software issues during deployment
- Coordinate with end users to minimize operational downtime
- Maintain detailed deployment logs and asset tracking records
- Provide onsite and remote post-deployment support
- Ensure adherence to security standards and company policies
- Collaborate with stakeholders to maintain project timelines and deliverables
- Travel to remote offices as necessary for hands-on deployment support
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, system administration, and hardware refresh projects
- Proven experience with large-scale laptop deployment and asset management
- Proficiency with Microsoft SCCM, Intune, and Autopilot for imaging and configuration
- Strong understanding of data security, compliance, and disk wiping practices
- Experience using inventory and asset management systems
- Ability to lead and mentor junior engineers as needed
- Demonstrated skills in project coordination, scheduling, and risk management
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder and end-user interaction
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent deployments and meet deadlines
Preferred Certifications (Not Required)
- Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate
- CompTIA A+ or equivalent hardware certification
- ITIL Foundation Certification
