Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager (PLM) to lead the implementation and governance of Teamcenter Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solutions for hard goods product teams. This role requires a detail-oriented, proactive professional who can successfully manage large-scale enterprise projects within a PMO framework.

The ideal candidate will combine strong project management expertise with a foundational understanding of PLM systems, exceptional stakeholder communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee Teamcenter PLM implementation projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, technical teams, and executive leadership to maintain clear communication and transparency throughout all project phases.

  • Manage project scope, timeline, and budget to ensure on-time, within-budget delivery.

  • Conduct and facilitate workshops for project discovery, planning, and execution.

  • Identify, document, and manage project risks, dependencies, and issues, escalating as necessary.

  • Maintain project governance tools such as RACI matrices, issue logs, and action trackers.

  • Produce and distribute weekly project status reports summarizing progress, risks, and key milestones.

  • Manage change control processes to handle project adjustments and enhancements.

  • Lead Agile Scrum meetings, supporting iterative development and cross-functional collaboration.

  • Participate in resource forecasting to ensure optimal staffing and allocation across project activities.

  • Oversee project closure activities, ensuring all deliverables are completed, validated, and properly documented.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).

  • 6+ years of experience managing large-scale enterprise initiatives within a Project Management Office (PMO) environment.

  • Foundational knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools and methodologies.

  • Proven track record managing projects using both Waterfall and Agile delivery frameworks.

  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and diverse stakeholder groups.

  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.

  • Onsite requirement: Based in Austin, TX — onsite Monday through Thursday, remote on Fridays (no travel reimbursement provided).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience leading Teamcenter PLM implementations.

  • Familiarity with ERP systems or other downstream applications that integrate with PLM environments.

  • Experience in the Retail or Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industries.

  • Active professional certifications such as PMP®, PgMP®, PfMP®, CAPM®, PRINCE2®, or Six Sigma (any level).

Core Competencies

  • Strong facilitation skills for project discovery, planning, and execution workshops.

  • Ability to identify, record, and mitigate project risks and issues.

  • Proficient in creating and maintaining RACI matrices, status reports, and change request logs.

  • Skilled in managing Agile Scrum ceremonies and promoting continuous improvement.

  • Adept at resource forecasting, documentation, and closure activities ensuring project completeness and stakeholder satisfaction.
