Description:
1) Design and implement hybrid IT network architectures at scale. Design and operation of CSR1000v in AWS, including HA
a. define network architectures on AWS and derive an appropriate architecture to evaluate and optimize for performance and cost.
b. Implementation of hybrid IT architecture connectivity solutions using BGP, VPN and AWS Direct Connect.
c. Solid understanding of VPC Subnet configurations and VPC routing. Knowledge of IPsec protocol suite, such as Authentication Headers and Encapsulating Security Payloads.
2) Design and implement AWS networks,
a. Solid understanding of OSI and TCP/IP networking models.
b. Knowledge of Ethernet frames and how and what effect Jumbo Frames have when configured
3) Automate AWS tasks
a. automation of use cases including security and environment monitoring.
b. automate AWS for network deployments.
c. Automate AWS for network operations and management
4) Configure network integration with application services
a. implement DNS solutions in a hybrid IT architecture
b. implement and leverage the capabilities of Route 53
c. define and implement appropriate configuration of DHCP within AWS
d. Determine a content-distribution strategy to optimize for performance using Amazon CloudFront
5) Design and implement for security and compliance:
a. Ensure design in alignment with security and compliance objectives.
b. Define and implement monitoring strategies in support of security and compliance objectives
6) Manage, optimize, and troubleshoot the network
Skills required :
1) Practical experience consuming core IaaS services from AWS (e.g. VPC, EC2, S3, ELB, etc)
2) AWS networking services and constructs (route tables, security groups, internet gateway, virtual gateway, Direct Connect, transit VPC’s, VPC peering, etc)
3) VPN technologies including IPSec and DMVPN
4) Routing protocols, including BGP and VRF
5) Hands-on experience designing and operating Cisco hardware, including Cisco ASR1000 routers, Cisco ASA firewalls, Cisco FirePower NGFW’s
6) Linux networking and system administration
7) Experience working in Agile framework in combination with software engineers
8) User story and feature definition in Jira and/or Rally
9) Automation code reviews
10) AWS: 2+ years’ experience with using a broad range of AWS technologies (e.g. EC2, RDS, ELB, EBD, S3, VPC, Glacier, IAM, CloudWatch, KMS) to develop and maintain an Amazon AWS based cloud solution, with an emphasis on best practice cloud security
11) DevOps: experience as a DevOps\Cloud Engineer\admin in a 24x7 uptime Amazon AWS environment, including automation experience with configuration management tools
12) Monitoring Tools: Experience with system monitoring tools.
13) Object-oriented programming and design
14) Python in the back end and basic linux
15) CI/CD development experience. Jenkins, Gitlab Runner, Travis CI etc.
16) Unit testing, Test-Driven Development
17) Experience working in a team using Git w/ Git branching methodologies
