Role: Automation Engineer

Location: Santa Clara, CA

Skills and capabilities:

• You will test Data pipelines on AWS with a focus on Planning, Preparation, Execution & Reporting activities based on business & System requirements.
• You should have experience in AWS Services, testing Spark applications
• You should have experience in developing test automation framework in Java/Python
• You should have experience in SQL, NoSQL, Design test scenario, develop test cases, understand test case, perform execution.
• Analyze test result, report problem, verify fixes, create test report.
• Design, implement and maintain automated test case scripts.
• Implement Testing Methodology by selecting relevant deployment/job roles associated with the Work Products.
• Design, document and communicate overall test environment, based on the automation strategy and environment architecture.
• Design, document, and communicate comprehensive test plans that verify the design and risks acceptable to the client.
• Analyze solution design, use case scenarios, architectural limits and test environment to design a series of tests and tools that effectively exercise the solution at a system and functional level while allowing for validation of all data.

Key Responsibilities:

• You are responsible for applying automated tools in testing of applications across all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• You would test Spark based application, you should have experience in debugging and running spark Jobs
• You would develop test automation framework in Java/Python
• You should have experience in SQL, NoSQL
• Support the test team by recommending tools and processes to automate other test activities, such as test management, reporting, test data generation and defect management.
• Evaluate the functional and non-functional requirements for test-ability, test cases and use cases for suitability for automation.
• Assist the development of the test automation strategy and focus specifically on maximizing reuse for regression purposes.
• Design, build and execute automated tests to validate applications using Selenium
• Identify regression testing needs and create and maintain an Automated Regression Suite.
• Implement the strategy via developing, coding and executing test case and test script frameworks using automated tools.
• Provide timely project related data as required in applicable systems and ensure timely reporting and response to client partners
