Job Description
1. STANDARD MONTHLY REPORT FOR ALL PLANTS
• Design a standard monthly report for all plants that can be used to monitor and improve plant performance
• Provide an overview of the last complete business month
• Factors in the report to include but not be limited to fixed and variable spend; earned and paid hours; inventory balances and movements; order backlog; arrival of new demand; production; and shipping
• The overview report to be supported by appropriate detail reports (inventory balances and movements by product category or part number)
• The report to be generated both in SAP, and as an export of normal-form data suitable for end-user interactive query via Tableau
2. STANDARD REPORT OF CHANGES OVER TIME
• Design a standard report for all plants that shows changes over time (twelve trailing months, for key factors in the standard monthly report described in (1) above
• The report to be generated both in SAP, and as an export of normal-form data suitable for end-user interactive query via Tableau
3. IMPLEMENTATION
• Implement the reports in (1) and (2) in collaboration with key end-users in Finance and Operations
4. ASSESSMENT OF SAP IN RESPECT OF SUPPORT FOR OPERATIONS
• Assess the current configuration and use of SAP in terms of the support it provides for Operations, including but not limited to planning, buying, stocking, production, and shipping
• Assessment to include but not be limited to ease of use; assurance and control of data integrity; controls on transactions; exception reporting; and super-user support
• Recommend short-term and medium-term improvements
5. STANDARD MONTHLY REPORT FOR ALL PLANTS
• Recommend topics for end-user training, and job functions to be trained
• Purpose of training to assure that end-users can confidently perform transactions and obtain data and information needed to do their work efficiently and effectively
• Training to be provided in short courses, conducted in-house, in sessions not longer than three hours. In addition to technical skills, the individual should be able to communicate and guide the stakeholders up and down the chain and also train super users at different plants/divisions to be self-reliant for the long-term.
Will be required initial travel to Syracuse, NY. First month fully on site then about 1-week out of each month on site.
