SCCM/Intune Engineer

Duration: 12 month long contract with potential for extension

Schedule: Remote, but will work onsite once a month in Louisville, KY

Location: MUST live in either Kentucky (KY) or Indiana (IN). Relocation to these 2 states is NOT an option- candidates must already be living there.

 

 

This position will be worked remotely, but the employee must work 1 time a month onsite in Louisville, KY.

 

Responsibilities:

· Manage the servicing of Windows 10 and Office 365 click-to-run deployments using SCCM and Intune, ensuring seamless updates and compliance across the organization.

· Oversee Windows Image Management through tools such as Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT), Microsoft Desktop Optimization Pack (MDOP), Microsoft BitLocker Administration (MBAM), Windows ADK, and USMT.

· Leverage your knowledge of Microsoft Enterprise Mobility and Security components (Intune, Azure AD, and Microsoft Identity Manager) to enhance endpoint security and manage mobile devices.

· Utilize the Windows Upgrade Readiness Tool, including Desktop Analytics and Microsoft Assessment and Planning Toolkit, to plan and execute successful Windows upgrades and migrations.

· Manage and deploy operating systems including Windows 10/8.1/7 and Windows Server 2019/2016/2012/2008.

· Utilize scripting skills in Windows PowerShell, VB, and SQL to automate tasks, streamline processes, and optimize IT operations.

· Effectively deploy and manage applications and software updates across the organization, ensuring compatibility and security.

· Contribute to Active Directory and Group Policy design, implementation, and administration, ensuring seamless integration with endpoint management solutions.

· Implement bandwidth management strategies, utilizing tools such as Delivery Optimization, Peer Cache, and Branch Cache to optimize content distribution.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into effective SCCM and Intune solutions.

· Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and issue resolution related to SCCM, Intune, and endpoint management solutions.

Qualifications:

· Proven experience (7+ years) in SCCM and Intune engineering, showcasing your ability to manage and optimize endpoint management and deployment solutions.

· Strong familiarity with Windows Image Management tools, including MDT, MDOP, MBAM, Windows ADK, and USMT.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Enterprise Mobility and Security components, including Intune, Azure AD, and Microsoft Identity Manager.

· Experience with Windows upgrade readiness tools, including Desktop Analytics and Microsoft Assessment and Planning Toolkit.

· Expertise in operating system deployment, scripting, application management, and software update deployment.

· Solid knowledge of Active Directory and Group Policy design, implementation, and administration.

· Strong scripting skills in Windows PowerShell, VB, and SQL to automate tasks and enhance operational efficiency.

· Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams to achieve common goals.

· Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments.

· Continuous learner mindset with a commitment to staying current with technology advancements and industry best practices.

· Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related experience.

· Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, or Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert are preferred.
