Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Power Systems Applications Engineer with strong expertise in Transmission Energy Management Systems (EMS). The ideal candidate will have a solid background in Power Systems analysis and software development using C++ and Java, along with hands-on experience in real-time or mission-critical EMS/SCADA systems for Electric Power Utilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and customize advanced Power Systems Applications for Transmission domains such as Load Flow, Contingency Analysis, and Power Factor Correction.

  • Collaborate with Electric Utilities, ISOs, and TSOs to define functional specifications, develop and deliver EMS solutions.

  • Participate in all phases of software lifecycle requirements, design, coding, testing, integration, and delivery.

  • Perform system installation, configuration, and maintenance of Linux/Windows-based EMS systems.

  • Debug and troubleshoot complex issues using system logs, shell scripts, and SQL queries.

  • Apply patches, updates, and fixes on live customer systems ensuring system reliability and performance.

  • Contribute to real-time system performance tuning, data validation, and integration activities.

  • Work with version control tools such as GitHub or ClearCase for code and configuration management.
