Looker Consultant
Location : Remote -- East Coast or Central please. Work is Remote. Working Hours are Eastern
Duration : 6+ months --
Client will reject people with no GCP on current project and those who are too heavy on old technologies like Hadoop, Cloudera and Hortonworks.
- GCP certs is a very good check mark also. Very hard to get and candidates who have professional developer certification really know their stuff.
What We Are Looking For:
We are looking for a Looker expert with a deep understanding of backend cloud services, databases, and SQL. You have a passion for creating data dashboards and experience in end-to-end Looker development. Your proficiency extends to data modeling, SQL query optimization, data transformation, and visualization. Your analytical and problem-solving skills equip you to understand and translate complex business requirements into technical solutions.
What You Have:
- Proficiency in all stages of Looker development, from data modeling to deploying production-ready dashboards.
- Strong knowledge of LookML, Looker's modeling language.
- Proven expertise in working with Google Cloud.
- Strong proficiency in SQL for querying and manipulating relational databases.
- Expertise in data visualization and dashboard design principles.
- Experience with data modeling and data transformation processes.
- Proficiency in Python or another programming language for data manipulation and automation.
- Familiarity with data analytics or business intelligence tools other than Looker (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Understanding of data governance and security practices.
- Experience with version control systems like Git for code repositories.
- Knowledge of statistical analysis, predictive modeling techniques, and machine learning concepts.
