Job Description
Responsibilities:
Own end-to-end development of software features from conceptual design to implementation and testing.
Collaborate cross-functionally to design and develop new software features.
Participate in design reviews and support new product introduction efforts.
Define and document technical requirements and design details.
Support field deployment of software and troubleshooting as needed.
Track feature development and deliverable progress toward team’s milestones.
Minimum Qualifications:
B.S. Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field
5+ years of experience developing production-level software in Python
Experience developing applications in Docker
Experience creating and consuming REST API services
Experience working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, SQLite
Familiarity interfacing with messaging brokers such as Mosquitto or RabbitMQ
Experience working in Linux
Cloud development experience in AWS
Experience with GitHub
Knowledge and practical experience using Agile methodology for software development
Desired Qualifications:
Experience working with container orchestration such as Kubernetes
Experience with Java and web technologies such as HTML5 and JavaScript
Experience with edge computing
Familiarity with controller communication protocols like EGD, OPCUA and OPCDA
Familiarity with secure code development practices
Familiarity with code obfuscation techniques
Basic understanding of large-scale power systems
Independent, self-starter who enjoys working on challenging technical problems in emerging spaces
