Description:

 

Lead the Design work of the California Self-Service Portal System. The User Experience (UX) Design Lead is responsible for managing the enhancements design lifecycle following the 4 phases of the UCD process: Discovery, Define, Build (Design & Test), and Delivery in collaboration with the User-Centered Design (UCD) Research Lead and the Functional/Technical Lead. The UX Lead is responsible for activities such as requirements and user stories discovery research and elaboration, design and prototyping, and user testing, and ensure the quality of system enhancements by working with the development and testing team until delivery. The UX Lead is also responsible for project stakeholder engagement including the client, policy partners, advocacy groups, and end users of the system in a collaborative design approach. This engagement includes facilitating regular Requirements Elaboration and Design Sessions with stakeholders and assisting the UCD lead in Discovery Research activities with end users (interview, focus groups, surveys). The UX Design Lead should have strong communication and facilitation skills to insure meaningful engagement and partnership with project stakeholders. The UX Design Lead should also have a strong understanding of User Experience Research methodologies to work collaboratively with the UCD lead to incorporate user insights collected from various Customer Experience Measurement channels (web analytics, surveys, user testing, focus groups) into enhancements requirements, user stories, and designs.
