Position: Technical Writer
Location: NYC
Duration: 6 months
Position details:
Technical skills: Git Hub, Ruby on Rails, Cold Fusion (Preferably), Mule soft,MySQL, JavaScript, React.js
We need a Technical writer who will document all the business rules that currently reside in our Front End applications. He should have the ability to read, understand and analyze ruby code. Once he has reviewed the ruby code he should have the ability to write the business rules as they are coded in the application. Another nice to have quality would be if the technical writer could also have the ability to do the above-mentioned exercise with cold fusion code. Preferably, he can document the rules in repository tool or rules engine that we provide him. The technical writer should write the business rules in such a way that is readable for all employees irrespective of the fact if they are IT or non-IT team members.
REQUIREMENTS:
Work with Managers/Engineers to produce enterprise wide documentation
Ability to simply complex technical system in writing and visually with diagrams.
Must be able to interpret code written by multiple users(developers);
o Good understanding of the syntax and its nuances
Applicant should have the ability to decipher field level validations in JavaScript and react.js
Should have the ability to use Git and Github;
Experience working with Ruby on Rails, MYSQL, Mule soft, Cold fusion;
o Solid understanding of object-oriented programming
o Understanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
Learn to identify and read accurate user workflows with no supervision and convert it to business/technical readable document.
Must be able to work in fast-paced environment.
Applicant should be able to understand and create UML Diagrams.
Applicant should have experience to get business rules from code using tools.
