Java Full Stack Developer

Location : Remote
Duration : 6 months contract to hire
INTERVIEW PROCESS

  • 48 hrs to 4 hrs before the 1st Round: Must meet with Planet technology sales and AM for a quick check in to ensure that all requirements are met in anticipation of the 1st round
  • 1st Round: 90-minute Zoom with HM (hands-on interview, the candidate will have their camera on and share their full screen. They should also come prepared for the interview by installing a few programs that will be provided to the candidate prior to this interview)
  • 2nd Round: 60-minute Zoom with panel (candidate should be prepared to share their screen and solve code puzzles)


Must Haves (Most to Least):

  • React - added on 5/15
  • Java
  • AWS
  • Docker / Containerization
  • Angular or React or ES6 JavaScript
  • Terraform (or equivalents such CloudFormation, Ansible, and/or Puppet)


Ideal Candidate Characteristics:

  • Senior level candidate that is confident in their own abilities
  • Driven to implement and refactor the codebase
  • Ability to mentor more junior devs via video conf., phone calls, email, etc.
  • Excellent communication skills (demo the product at weekly architecture meetings to Directors and VPs)

Ideal Candidate Background:

  • Full-stack java engineers with native cloud Infra as Code/AWS exp
  • Former experience as a Systems Architect, Developer, and/or DevOps
  • Real world application of AWS knowledge
    • Associate and/or Professional level AWS certifications are a huge plus
