Job Description:
The Department of Information Resources (DIR) requires the services of one UI/UX Lead Architect hereafter referred to as Worker, who meets the general qualification of Enterprise Architect 2, Core and the specifications outlined in this document for the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS

The candidates must have a strong background as UI architect in creating front-end architectural vision and strategy for enterprise web applications with extensive experience in the following:
Fifteen years of professional experience in software engineering, eight or more years of hands-on experience in writing code with front-end development technology, and four years as UI Architect with technologies including HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, JQuery, ES5/ES6, JavaScript framework, Bootstrap 3 or 4, Angular 6 or 7, AJAX and build tools such as NPM, Grunt, Bower, Webpack
Two or more years of experience in developing and testing web application following Section 508 and WCAG 2.1 guidelines
Demonstrate excellent understanding of the overarching process of website development including emerging technologies, modern design patterns and principles, UX design, UI framework, reusable web assets, visual design, development, testing, automation
Strong track record of creating UI framework and Architecture for Case Management systems or eCommerce sites with the consideration for thousands of concurrent users
Extensive experience building scalable responsive and progressive web applications with cross-browser support
Ability to lead the design and development activities for existing and new web components
Experience with user journey mapping, story boarding, creating mockups and wireframes, process maps, sitemaps, application usability design, fast prototyping, and proof-of-concept development.
Ability to research and recommend user experience enhancements to improve the end-user experience
Manage technical risk and debt for the UI team
Deep knowledge of Identity and Access Management protocols and technologies: OAuth, OpenID Connect, SAML, Federation, SSO, etc.
Solid understanding of web technologies: TCP/IP, HTTP, REST, SOAP, XML, JSON, etc.
Experience with UI test framework Protractor, Karma, Jasmine, Cucumber, QUnit or similar
Experienced in create strategy for unit testing and over all test strategy for the web applications
Proven track record of setting up guidance for creating UI style guide and developers guide for the developers
Dedication to grow the UI teams’ knowledge in user experience and frontend development technologies through seeking and sharing trend data
Ability to provide effective peer code reviews of front-end code and mentor developers in the team

Minimum Requirements:

15 Required Professional experience in software engineering
8 Required Expert in HTML, JavaScript, JQuery, CSS Development
4 Required Expert in Angular framework(6 or 7), AJAX, Bootstrap (3 or 4), Javascript framework, ES5/ES6
4 Required Experience in creating architecture and implementing modern UI design patterns, principles and practices
4 Required Experience in leading UI development for enterprise applications, creating UI style guide, providing effective code review and mentoring developers
3 Required Experience in Identity and Access Management protocols and technologies such as, OAuth, OpenID Connect, SAML, Federation, SSO
3 Required Experience with NPM, Grunt, Bower, Webpack, Babel, Minify
3 Required Experience with UI test framework Karma, Jasmine, Cucumber, QUnit or similar
2 Required Working knowledge of front-end Test Automation (Selenium, LoadRunner, Accessibility testing) and the ability to troubleshoot integrations with HP ALM

Preferred:
4 Preferred Experience in web technologies such as, TCP/IP, HTTP, REST, SOAP, XML, JSON
3 Preferred Experience in developing responsive and progressive web application with cross browser support
3 Preferred Experience with user journey mapping, story boarding, creating mockups and wireframes, application usability design, fast prototyping, and proof-of-concept development
2 Preferred Working knowledge in development and testing with accessibility, Section 508 and WCAG 2.0
