Job Description

Job Description:

As a member of the UI/UX Design Team within the Digital Innovation Solution, you will be an integral member who leads UI design initiatives, while advancing the culture of UI design within client and across its customer base.

This resource will be joining a large program called E2E Data Excellence within the Consumer Health sector of Client. This is a multi-year initiative focusing on digital supply chain with an emphasis on visibility and traceability across all of their products. The goal is to create a "digital core" (EDL) that all source systems will feed in for house E2E supply chain data across consumer globally. They are creating "drill down" capabilities for their products; i.e. having the ability to click on a product (such as Listerine) and see all the raw materials associated with creating this product. They are spending a lot of money, and the visualizations (Tableau/PBI) are currently being designed by one off-shore designer. The designer is overworked, and the quality is poor, they want to make sure these designs look great since they are putting a lot of time and money into this program. Our designer will help offload some of this work, re-work some current designs, and create new ones. Looking for a utility player who can wear many hats. Whereas it sounds more UI focused, they should have UX skills as well (interviewing techniques, persona development, journey mapping, prototyping).

Required Skills / Experience:

  • Experience designing full-service consumer and business applications, translating complex user needs, technical constraints, and business goals into thoughtful, effective digital experiences
  • Broad expertise in user experience and interaction design, user research, and visual design
  • Experience designing robust UI visualizations for data visualization tools such as Tableau or PowerBI.
  • Successful track record of leading products from discovery through iterative development and delivery
  • Experience working to support the application of user-centered design and design thinking methodologies in a development context
  • Self-motivated towards creatively solving problems and producing the best possible outcome
  • Ability to work independently, as well as directly and closely with project stakeholders, maintaining professional and effective client communications.
  • Strong competency in wire framing programs such as A e Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, XD), Sketch, InVision, Omnigraffle, and/or similar tool sets
  • Advanced degree in a relevant field and/or equivalent related practical experience.
  • At least 3 years of professional experience and an online portfolio that showcases strong user-centered digital creative
  • Experience with and curiosity of agile and lean philosophies
  • Experience working in an interdisciplinary setting
  • Understanding of modern front-end technologies and frameworks
  • Deep understanding of Lean UX, Design Thinking, UX Agile methods, techniques and artifacts.

 Job Requirements:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners on product and experience strategy and direction
  • Contribute to all phases of the design process – from conceptual design to prototyping to launch
  • Guide product decisions through user research, customer development, and iterative feedback loops
  • Proactively work to ensure high quality designs and stakeholder satisfaction, and where appropriate, alignment and consistency across products and portfolios
  • Help ensure shared understanding of business and user goals
  • Participate in ongoing planning and adjustment of strategic goals, scope, and timelines.
