UCS Systems Engineer

Job Type: Contract To Hire

Job Location: 1 Freedom Valley Drive, Oaks, PA 19456.

Once acclimated it can be remote.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Design and support data center infrastructure solutions hosted on VMWare virtualization, Cisco Unified Compute Systems (UCS), and other best of class hyper-converged systems.
  • Participate in the design and architectural review of the Cisco UCS environment, including design including complex network and storage port-channel aggregation configurations.
  • Design and implement next generation UCS domains within SEI Oaks on-prem and Austin TX remote data center environments.
  • Capacity analysis, forecasting, and health appraisals for integrated components
  • Support infrastructure components such as power, KVM, and data center structured cabling management
  • Work collaboratively with Application and Developmental teams to build and support appropriately sized physical server solutions
  • Performance analysis of the UCS enterprise identifying performance constraints, recommend and implement optimization solutions.
  • Work with various internal teams for scheduling, planning, and execution of software releases.
  • Participate in Disaster Recovery design, planning, testing and execution.
  • Manage component upgrade projects to ensure lifecycle management and compatibility including FI's, IOM"s, CIMC, and UCSM software
  • What you bring to the table:
  • BS / BA in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 8 years related industry experience required; financial services experience preferred
  • 5 years of experience providing leadership in the design, implementation, and support of advanced enterprise class datacenter solutions preferred
  • Advanced experience designing and supporting Cisco UCS B/C-series server domains and accompanying element management systems, including UCS Manager, UCS Central, Cisco Intersight experience preferred
  • Advanced scripting skills utilizing PowerCLI/ Powershell.
  • Intimate knowledge and experience with Cisco TAC support processes, case management, and all RMA replacements
