Description: Test Engineer
Job Summary:
Participate in the analysis of customer and vendor requirements and develop automation framework and scripts for testing a next generation Crew Technology product suite.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop, identify, prioritize, and implement automation framework and automated test procedures.
Develop, execute, and maintain reusable automated test scripts
Estimation of effort needed for automation activities.
Create test plan that identifies automation strategy, objectives and dependencies.
Automates test data creation
Use QA automaton best practices to design and implement scripts that maintain product quality.
Documents test issues and works with development team to validate/recreate issue
Documents test cases for the user story requirements for traceability purpose
Prepare reports on test automation progress and regression testing.
Execute testing per schedule to meet necessary testing requirements.
Ensure automation deliverables are maintained in defined repository.
Works in an agile environment
Ensure compliance with the defect management process.
Works extended hours when needed, in order to support the production environment
Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training
3 year of IT and software testing experience
Demonstrated experience in the following:
QA automation and frame work development
Strong coding skills and concepts in Java
Testing web services & XML
Understanding of databases
Software quality assurance methodologies, tools and processes
Technical testing tools including: Jenkins, GIT, Selenium, Protractor, Cucumber, Ready API/SoapUI, Sabre, Rally
Experience with agile software development methodologies
Experience with and is willing to initiate sharing knowledge with others
Demonstrated initiative, flexibility and ability to adapt to changing priorities and work environments
Possess a keen desire to learn and expand depth of knowledge including coding concepts
Ability to analyze complex problems and implement solutions and/or workarounds
Ability to work well within a team environment, as well as independently
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
