Title: Project Coordinator/Technical Writer

Biogensys is hiring a Project Coordinator/Technical Writer for one of their clients in Laurel, Md.
Duties:
Assist the IT Security Division with day-to-day operations. Coordinates IT Security projects including managing and documenting plans of action and milestones.
Coordinate and develop reports, key performance indicators (KPIs), formatting Information Security policies, scheduling meetings, and identifying action items from the meetings (who/what/when
Write a variety of technical articles, reports, brochures, and/or manuals for documentation for a wide range of uses
Synthesize decentralized data into a centralized format
Provide documentation support for computer applications for all levels
Develop technical and user system documentation for applications in consultation with business analysts, systems analysts, trainers, and programmers
Document policies, procedures, guidelines and standards for enterprise systems
Assist with development of project schedules
Coordinate project activities among all managers, developers, analysts, contractors, and business stakeholders
Schedule and manage project meetings, presentations, work sessions, and other activities
Record and distribute activity minutes
Manage project shared folders, collaboration sites, documentation, and other materials
Skills Required:
Excellent writing skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact frequently with technical research and development personnel
Ability to work productively in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment
Ability to problem solve and work independently with minimal supervision
Strong analytical and logical reasoning skills
Proficient in the use of spreadsheets and project management tools
Work Experience Required:
Experience writing technical documentation
Experience using spreadsheets and project management tools
Education Required:
Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (for example, computer science) OR 6 years of experience in English professional/technical writing
