Job Title: Technical Project Manager
Client: Jefferson County Public Schools
Location: Golden, CO (Onsite) Need locals
Onsite/Remote: Onsite
Duration: 1 year
Visa: USC, GC

Additional Information:

  • Candidate MUST have at least 15-16 years of total IT experience
  • This candidate is required to be local and work Onsite.
  • Candidate must have any government experience.

Roles/Responsibilities:

  • Sourcing data from applications
  • Building out a data warehouse
  • Transitioning existing data warehouse data
  • Delivering data products to our users.

 

Core Skills: Scrum, Power BI, dbt, Snowflake, ETL, Apache Airflow, Agile, PMP

 

Mandatory Skills:

  1. 5-10 years of experience in project management, ideally with a PMP (Project Management Professional) or similar certification.
  2. Proven track record of successfully managing complex technical projects.
  3. Experience managing Agile projects including acting in the SCRUM master role
  4. Technical Project Management: Solid technical background including familiarity with data warehousing concepts, cloud platforms, data transformation tools (like dbt), and data visualization tools (Power BI).
  5. Cloud Expertise: Experience with cloud services and infrastructure, as well as knowledge of best practices for cloud-based data solutions.
  6. Data Management Knowledge: Well-versed in data management principles, including data governance, data quality, data security, and compliance. Knowledge of data modeling and data warehousing concepts is crucial.
  7. Experience with Snowflake: Prior experience with Snowflake or a similar cloud-based data warehousing platform.
  8. Familiarity with ETL and Data Transformation Skills**: Including processes and tools like Apache Airflow and dbt is essential for managing the data migration and transformation aspects of the project.
  9. Dashboard and Reporting Tools Knowledge of data visualization tools
  10. Strong Communication Skills: Able to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and ensure everyone is on the same page.
  11. Problem-Solving Abilities: Proactive in problem-solving and making data-driven decisions.
  12. Team Leadership: Experience leading and motivating cross-functional teams, including data engineers, data analysts, and dashboard developers.
  13. Risk Identification and Mitigation: Ability to identify, assess and escalate any project-related risks impacting resources or technical solutions to the appropriate teams.
