Job Description:
Overall Responsibilities:
We are looking for an organized, detail-oriented, mission-driven technical program manager tomanage 2-3 of our critical R&D and engineering partnerships. You will be responsible formanaging their timelines and deliverables, identifying and resolving issues as they arise,communicating progress periodically, and driving these projects to successful completion.
Top 3 Daily Responsibilities:
- Autonomously manage 2-3 external partners who are assisting our team in R&D and hardware product development
- Draft technical specifications & SOWs with team's input, then drive the overall tactical execution of the SOWs towards on-time and successful completion
- Develop and manage project schedules and resource needs with the team's input, and communicate project status to internal & external stakeholders
- Proactively propose & implement processes to accelerate device iterations to reach desired performance criteria
Mandatory Skills/Qualifications:
- B.S. in Engineering with at least 5 years technical program management experience
- Hardware experience e.g. sensors, optics, electronics
- Experience delivering hardware; writing technical specifications, writing SOWs, and managing engineering development firms and suppliers
- Experience managing contract R&D teams Non-Essential Skills/Qualifications:
- Experience in healthcare
- Experience in strategizing & coordinating R&D and product development efforts to optimize for speed and quality
- A doer with a startup mindset who enjoys working with a diverse & nimble team. No task is too big or too small
