Job Title: Technical Operations Engineer III / Security Architect
Location: remote - EST working hours.
Duties:
Responsible for understanding, researching, designing, and assessing security solutions, technical and reference architectures, and supporting security strategies tailored to KPMG's business needs, with a focus towards Cloud Central services and Microsoft's Office365.
Develop and contribute to Service deliverables with a security focus on IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS services, emphasizing Microsoft technologies (Azure and 0365) that requires partnership with Global Application/Product/Solution owners and project teams to deliver reliable and scalable security capabilities and strategies optimizing confidentiality, integrity, availability, functionality, performance, and financial costs; support ongoing business stakeholder dialog of security strategies, priorities and governance.
Responsible for aligning and translating business requirements into secure solutions, designs and reference architectures for applications and products that can be leveraged by all professionals across KPMG's member firms.
Perform as a subject matter professional on cloud technologies (and cloud technology security) with responsibilities to facilitate knowledge transfer within the greater Cloud Central groups: ITS Global, ISG and member firms.
Participate and act as a promoter and Guardian of Global Standards and standard infrastructure services and solutions, while supporting audit processes for security and compliance strategies.
Advanced understanding of information security, border protection, incident handling & response, forensics, endpoint protection & encryption The Security Architect supports the planning, security quality assurance, architecture design, and innovation for security services for KPMG's global cloud enablement. Supports security and solution teams with architecture design and technical recommendations.
Key accountabilities
20% - Proactive responsibility for ensuring inclusion of security standards and alignment with technical and reference architectures 25% - Support new and ongoing security assessments through the ISG Solution Review process 15% - Acting as a point of contact for consultation and assessment of inquiries from project teams 25% - Working with project teams to translate business requirements into secure solutions, reference architectures and designs.
5% - Active participation within Security Architecture team 10% - Communicate with ISG Leadership on escalations on issues and risks effectively
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science(s), Information Technology/Security, Systems Engineering or similar area; Master's preferred
Required:
7-8 years of experience working in a security environment on a global scale Professional certifications in information technology and cloud security -- CISSP ,CCSP (preferred), CISA (optional), CEH (optional), OSCP (optional); Azure Solutions Architect Certification (preferred but not required with demonstrated professional work experience) Microsoft Azure Architect Certification & Microsoft Azure Architect Technologies (Preferred) In-depth knowledge of system design and architecture with the technologies and experience implementing a wide range of solutions Strong understanding of identity and access management, including mitigating credential theft Good understanding of Windows 2003-2019 Server/AD Domain Infrastructure
