Title: Technical Architect (Teradata) Duration: 1 Year + Location: Alpharetta, Georgia Job Description MUST HAVE SKILLS (Most Important): Develop data architecture for high volume data applications in Teradata, Oracle and PostgreSQL, and AWS Strong traditional SQL skills Experience in Agile development using Jira, GitHub tool set Performance tuning of applications in Teradata, Oracle and PostgreSQL Experience in Mainframe Cobol language and Vision system Extensive experience in using Teradata utilities, BTEQ, Teradata Parallel Transporter , FLOAD ,MLOAD ,Query optimization and performance tuning Design from specifications, analyzes, evaluates, documents, and implements moderately complex software applications. Under general direction, devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results. Competent to work at the highest technical level of all phases of applications architecture and programming activities. Modify, install, and prepare technical documentation for system software applications. Provide high level written communication such as white papers, decision documents Interface with different departments within the organization regarding new deployments Identify, escalate and document production impact issues Strong Teradata / ETL Developer with Unix Background and 5 years hands-on experience is must 2 years of hands-on experience in PostgreSQL development 2 years of hands-on experience in Oracle development 6+ years of experience with Teradata. 6+ years of experience with Structured Query Language (SQL 1+ years or more experience in AWS environment. 2 or more years of experience in data architecture and modeling Strong analytical & troubleshooting skills. Experience in Telecom domain and preferably service order processing DESIRED SKILLS: Extensive experience in data migration techniques using Oracle External tables, SQL Loader, Import and Export utilities. Excellent experience in UNIX Korn Shell scripting Hands on experience in working with HADOOP ecosystem HDFS, Map reduce, HIVEQL, Pig, SQOOP,OOZIE JOB DUTIES: The candidate will be responsible to support the business during day to day business activities, interact with the business teams to understand the business requirements and implement them in Teradata and Vision systems. The candidate will be part of the larger team supporting commission applications such as CCRS, VzSTAC, Smart Referral and OST. Candidate should be a team player working with the teams spread in different locations in US and India. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS: The candidate should have undergraduate or masters degree in Computer Science or related field
