RQ01166 - Systems Testing/QA Specialist Senior Toronto, ON Start Date 2021-04-12 End Date 2022-04-07 Rate: CAD $ 440/Day Assignment Type: Remote Security Level: CRJMC # Business Days: 504.00 Description MSP Notes Shortlisting Date: Monday, March 15th at 2:00 pm EST Maximum number of Candidate Submissions: 2 (Two) Must Haves: Experience in testing Case Management Systems (COTS/SaaS solutions) Experience documenting, executing test cases and tracking defects in Azure DevOps toolset Experience working on projects from end to end Strong communication skills Nice to Have: Public Sector Experience (this contract is for 2 testers at 504 days each (2 years) with an option to extend for 225 days each = 729 days per each role) Scope: The Justice Technology Services - MAG requires 2 Systems Testing/Quality Assurance Analysts L3 with 10+ years of experience for testing Case Management System solution for the Tribunals Ontario Modernization project. The QA Specialists will be responsible for the following activities: Assist in the development of a test strategy, preparation of test cases / scenarios, test scripts, regression test cases/scenarios required to verify the system Managing all test activities including AODA, Penetration testing Execution of test scripts to verify solution Recording and tracking of system/functional defects, and user acceptance testing issues. Communicating with project team to ensure application quality and alignment with project timelines Deliverables: The resource is responsible for creating an end-to-end test plan and test cases according to JTS testing standards which will be provided; Executing the plan and managing all activities in the plan to ensure that all the objectives are met, and that the solution works as expected. The solution should be tested in terms of functionality, performance, reliability, stability and compatibility with other existing systems Developing test scripts and test data Executing test scripts and record software defects and track resolution Development of test plans, test cases and test scripts to validate the functionality of various modules. Ability to create test plan, test cases and test scripts to validate that changes made to the application Provide, plan and support User Acceptance Testing and lead initial UAT sessions. Review user documentation and provide feedback to improve application alignment and clarity of the information. Management and maintenance of defect log and communication of defect related issues to PM Working closely with developers holding triage sessions and ensuring appropriate prioritization of defects Working closely with the client lead, prioritize, schedule and remediate defects. Additional Responsibilities: Review functional and design specifications to ensure full understanding of individual deliverables. Identify test requirements from specifications, map test case requirements and design test coverage plan. Develop, document and maintain functional test cases and other test artifacts like the test data, data validation, harness scripts and automated scripts. Execute and evaluate manual or automated test cases and report test results. Hold and facilitate test plan/case reviews with cross-functional team members. Identify any potential quality issues per defined process and escalate potential quality issues immediately to management. Ensure that validated deliverables meet functional and design specifications and requirements. A note on Assignment Type: This position is currently listed as "Onsite"; however, the consultant will be remote due to COVID-19 related Work from Home (WFH) direction. Once the I&IT cluster staff are required to return to the office, the resource under this request will be required to work onsite as well. Product cycle (functional & non-functional) testing experience Test case & Test Scenario design and review experience (from business requirements) Test case development experience Experience in defect tracking Test scenarios (use-cases) design and review Experience in writing manual/automated test scripts Mandatory Requirements: 10 plus years of experience Experience documenting, executing test cases and tracking defects in Azure DevOps toolset Strong understanding of manual testing practices Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills; verbal and written communication skills; interpersonal and negotiation skills A team player with a track record for meeting deadlines Resume Evaluation Criteria: Technical Experience = 30 Demonstrated knowledge and experience in all phases of the Systems Development Life Cycle Experience in testing Case Management systems (COTS/SaaS) that are supported at an integrated enterprise level Knowledge of current development/testing tools and methodologies (Waterfall/Agile/Iterative) Knowledge of SharePoint, DevOps toolset QA Skills = 40 Demonstrated experience in defect tracking using a collaborative tool to manage defects and change request and to communicate status of these to all project participants. Demonstrated experience in developing test plans, test scripts and test data; documenting software defects and tracking resolutions. Experience with User Acceptance Testing and leading initial UAT sessions Business Skills = 25 Demonstrated experience working with clients and technical teams to ensure effective resolution of defects and management of change requests are complete Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills Oral and written communication skills, Interpersonal and consultative skills Public Sector Experience = 5 Previous experience working in Government or Public Sector organizations.
