Role: Senior Systems Engineer Location: Seattle, WA Duration: 6 months (REMOTE Until COVID-19) Type: W2 Visa: H4-EAD, GC-EAD, GC and USC Required Skills : - Must be proficient within Microsoft Azure Cloud - not just working knowledge but hands on experience - Experience with Jenkins CI/CD, Azure Dev Ops. - Experience with APM tooling: NewRelic or equivalent - Infrastructure Automation ARM templates, Azure CLI Typical Day in the Role Implements designed continuous delivery pipelines in a dynamic, growing DevOps environment Implements and engineers software development and deployment tooling with an orientation towards CI/CD Automates infrastructure that enables efficient builds, testing, deployments, and monitoring Employs Infrastructure as Code [IaC] best practices and concepts Ensure security development practices are followed and mitigates vulnerabilities introduced via CI/CD Responds to outages with prompt and efficient resolution and communicates issues to via the proper support channels Participates in on-call support of a 24x7 production environment Technical Requirements - Required Experience in automating infrastructure is required Experience with one or more of the following programming languages [.Net,Java, Javascript, Python] is required Experience administering or maintaining CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, JIRA, Bamboo, DevOps, Gitlab, for large-scale operations. Experience managing source-code repositories utilizing git (Bitbucket, Gitlab, etc Proficiency with CI/CD Pipeline tools. Experience automating with scripting languages [Bash, Python, and/or PowerShell] is required Strong practical Linux and Windows-based systems administration skills in a cloud or virtualized environment. Must have hands-on experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platforms Experience with one or more of Infrastructure Automation tools [Terraform, Chef, Puppet] is required Technical Requirements - Preferred Proficiency with Microsoft Azure Cloud Service Fabric IoT Hub CosmosDB Experience with Jenkins CI/CD, Azure Dev Ops. Experience with APM tooling: NewRelic or equivalent Infrastructure Automation ARM templates, Azure CLI Cloud platforms Microsoft Azure Infrastructure and Application logging and monitoring technologies - Splunk, ELK, NewRelic, PagerDuty Top Candidate Skills CI/CD pipeline and deployment 5-6 Azure infrastructure automation experience (prefer Azure over AWS as they'll have to train them up in Azure) 3+ Scripting 3+ Best vs. average Must have experience in Azure and building from scratch, all experience should be recent Disqualifiers Gap in employment, typos, should have recent Azure experience not from a few years ago Simply supported already developed won't work, they need to have experienced engineering development, team is busy so they need to hit the ground running build from scratch
