Job Description
Ability to run WHQL tests for system-level certification
Duties include:
- set up and installation of the test server
- debug of the WHQL Server/client installations
- configuration of tests
- debugging test failures to resolution
Ability to maintain documentation of test results and file sightings from the failures documented. Analyzes test results to ensure correct functionality, determines root causes of failures, and recommends corrective action. Be proficient in troubleshooting and must be able to spot a “false pass” on a test. Also familiar with server bios configuration.
Minimum Qualifications
- BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of experience in a related software engineering or validation position
- 1+ years of experience and demonstrated proficiency in developing software in C/C++, C# or Java
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows & Linux (RedHat Enterprise, SLES, Ubuntu) operating systems
- Knowledge of validation methodologies, concepts and processes
- Skilled at debugging and root-causing both software and hardware issues
- Working knowledge of Intel Architecture Preferred additional skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server OS
- Microsoft Windows WHQL certification experience
- Ability to read hardware schematics
- Knowledge of Cisco IOS switch configuration
- Knowledge of KVMoIP technologies
- SQL Database development skills
