Reason: Increase in workload; Existing manager needs more help covering/needs added support; this role will work closely with existing Sr Supply Chain Specialist to share workload, help cover each other's workload

100% on-site (no hybrid option)

 

Supply Chain Specialist IV

This position requires a motivated, organized, team-oriented person with experience in external supply chain logistics and inventory of Biopharmaceutical material. Including but not limited to documentation preparation for transport such as manifests, customs clearance, permits, resupply communications with program leads and partnering with 3PL organizations.

 

Job Responsibilities

• Coordinate logistics of drug substance samples, cell bank vials and bulk material shipments (must have this experience)

• Generates and reviews documents such as work orders, contracts, material transfer requests, or shipping documentation.

• Manage shipping schedules to achieve department goals, product timeline and objectives

• Coordinate and set up new domestic and international GMP transportation lanes.

• Work with special couriers, 3PLs and customs brokers for customs/FDA clearance.

• Cell bank management at long term storage sites.

• Support logistics in manufacturing tech transfers.

• Partner with the supply chain team and business to drive continuous improvement.

• Collaborate with team to ensure business goals are met through effective support of external logistics.

• Establish working relationships with appropriate external or cross functional contact. Negotiates and monitors levels of service or performance provided, communicates areas of concern to resolve issues.

• Tracking and reconciliation of domestic and international GMP material transfer requests in Client systems.

• Data analysis and generation to support assessment of supply chain projects, metrics, and activities.

• Create, track and close change controls records in QMS system

• Establishes and tracks process metrics and key performance indicators.

 

Knowledge, Experience, and skills

• 4+ years of relevant experience in related field and a BS or BA; or

• 3+ years of relevant experience and a MA/MBA.

• Working knowledge of cold chain management for Critical materials such as Cell Banks and Finished Goods.

• Experience in both domestic and international transportation.

• Experience in pharmaceutical operations/cGMP environment highly desirable.

• CPIM / CSCP certification.

• Understanding of customs regulation and, permit requirements for international business logistics.

• Able to recognize deviation from accepted practices.

• Experienced with ERP Systems and data analysis.

• Strong business collaboration skills.

• Able to develop solutions to non-routine problems.
