Supply Chain and Logistics - Advisor
Location: Los Angeles or Orange County
Responsibilities:
· Apply technical skills and expertise in material procurement, production planning, inventory control, outsourcing, vendor selection, and distribution.
· Advise, guide and work with other employees and leaders.
· Conduct supply chain analysis and identify opportunities for improving efficiency and capabilities, and develop and implement supply chain designs, models, strategies and/or processes to improve the business.
· Define key performance metrics and benchmarks relating to supply chain planning/forecasting to measure actual performance against goals.
· Create integrated processes among internal functions such as operations, purchasing and logistic in order to manage the incoming and outgoing movement and storage and coordinate the flow of materials and information among suppliers, manufacturers, distributors and customers.
· Negotiate favorable terms, volume discounts and long-term contracts with suppliers, and prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders for the procurement of goods, supplies, and services.
· Fulfill orders, including order entry, administration, and shipping and ensure adequate inventory levels are maintained.
· May act as a project manager managing through matrixed employees/teams/vendors who are not direct reports but for which the incumbent has direct accountability to lead and achieve project objectives.
· Progresses an increased depth of professional knowledge, experience, project management skills, and ability to influence others.
· Serves as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and is considered an expert in the area. Projects can have corporate wide impact with major financial or operational impact. Is considered SME of technical principles, theories and concepts in the field, as well as their application in the field.
· Applies mastery of in-depth knowledge in one of the specialties below, or broader expertise in complex supply chain organizations.

Required Skills/Attributes:
· Bachelor Degree in applicable profession, business, or technical discipline or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
· Possesses 10+ years of experience.
· Exhibits an advanced degree of ingenuity, creativity and resourcefulness. Challenges are frequently unique, and solutions often serve as precedent for future solutions or decisions.
· May act as a project manager for one or more large, long-term projects with responsibility for results in terms of costs, methods and outcomes.
