Job Title : System Analyst (Java + Mainframe + Lotus Notes)

We are seeking an experienced System Analyst with a strong background in Java, Mainframe, and Lotus Notes to join our client’s development team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of enterprise application architectures, be able to analyze and document complex systems, and deliver robust API and microservices solutions. This is a hands-on technical role involving system analysis, API development, legacy code understanding, and integrations with multiple backend systems.
Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and implement RESTful APIs and microservices using Java and Spring Boot.

Analyze and interpret existing codebases (primarily COBOL, Java, and Lotus Notes) to document business processes in a clear, non-technical manner for stakeholders.

Create OpenAPI specifications aligned with REST standards.

Deploy and manage API proxies on MuleSoft Flex Gateway.

Integrate applications with DB2, SOAP services, Mainframe systems, and external REST APIs.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, design solutions, and ensure seamless integration across platforms.

Apply best practices in microservices architecture, design patterns, and monitoring to improve system reliability and scalability.
Required Skills & Qualifications

9–10+ years of professional experience as a System Analyst or Software Engineer.

Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, OpenAPI Specification, SOAP, COBOL, and Lotus Notes.

Proven experience developing and deploying microservices and API-based integrations.

Ability to read, interpret, and document legacy codebases for business audiences.

Experience deploying APIs on MuleSoft Flex Gateway.

Solid understanding of database integration (DB2) and enterprise service integrations.

Familiarity with microservices architecture, design patterns, and monitoring tools.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate complex technical details into clear business language.
