Job Title : Senior Data Scientist - AI Agent Expert
Location: Woodland Hills, CA, Onsite
Rate : Best competitive rate

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Scientist with specialized expertise in AI agents to join our team in Woodland Hills, CA. This is a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge AI systems in healthcare, focusing on developing and deploying Large Language Models (LLMs) and Natural Language Processing (NLP) technologies for dynamic, autonomous agent systems.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of AI agent architectures, LLMs, NLP models, and healthcare data standards. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to design and implement sophisticated AI-driven workflows and protocols to optimize healthcare operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Agent-to-Agent (A2A) Protocols: Design and implement protocols enabling autonomous collaboration, negotiation, and task delegation between AI agents (e.g., ClaimsAgent, EligibilityAgent).

  • Model Context Protocols (MCP): Architect and operationalize MCP pipelines for persistent memory-augmented, contextually grounded LLM interactions across healthcare use cases.

  • Intelligent Multi-Agent Systems: Build and deploy LLM-driven orchestration of multi-agent systems to streamline benefit processing, prior authorization, clinical summarization, and member engagement.

  • Domain-Specific NLP Models: Fine-tune and integrate LLMs and NLP models (e.g., medical BERT, BioGPT) for document understanding, intent classification, and personalized recommendations.

  • Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG): Develop RAG systems and structured context libraries to dynamically ground knowledge from structured (FHIR/ICD-10) and unstructured (EHR notes, chat logs) data.

  • Collaboration & Scalability: Work with engineers and data architects to build scalable, secure, and explainable pipelines that adhere to healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA, CMS).

  • Research & Innovation: Lead research initiatives in memory-based agent systems, reinforcement learning with human feedback (RLHF), and context-aware task planning.

  • MLOps: Contribute to production deployment and continuous model improvement through robust MLOps pipelines.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Computational Linguistics, or a related field.

  • Experience: 7+ years of hands-on experience in AI/ML, with a focus on LLMs, transformers, agent frameworks, or NLP, specifically in the healthcare sector.

  • Technical Expertise:

    • Expertise in Agent-to-Agent protocols, LangGraph, AutoGen, CrewAI, or similar orchestration tools.

    • Practical experience with Model Context Protocols (MCP) for long-term conversational memory and modular agent interactions.

    • Strong coding skills in Python, with proficiency in ML/NLP libraries such as Hugging Face Transformers, PyTorch, LangChain, spaCy, etc.

    • Deep understanding of healthcare data standards (FHIR, HL7, ICD/CPT, X12 EDI formats).

  • Cloud and Infrastructure: Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and tools like Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced MCP + VectorDB Integration: Strong understanding of integrating MCP with VectorDB for dynamic agent memory and knowledge retrieval.

  • Healthcare AI Experience: Previous experience working with LLM-based agents in large-scale healthcare environments, including voice AI, automated care navigation, or AI triage tools.

  • Research Contributions: Published research or patents in AI agent systems, LLM architectures, or contextual AI frameworks.
