Job Title : Java Automation and DevOps Engineer

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Automation & DevOps Engineer to support the modernization of Java/JEE applications by migrating projects from Eclipse/RAD to Maven and integrating them into GitHub. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java-based application development, build automation, version control, and deployment automation in Unix environments.
This role involves collaboration with both the Automation and Operations teams to ensure smooth build, deployment, and version control processes using modern DevOps tools and practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Migrate Java/JEE applications from Eclipse/RAD formats to Maven-based builds.
- Integrate projects into GitHub repositories and configure CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
- Collaborate with the Automation team to automate build and publishing processes.
- Work with the Operations team to streamline and automate deployments to WebSphere Application Server.
- Develop and maintain Unix shell and Jython scripts to support build and deployment automation.
- Ensure best practices are followed in source control, build configuration, and deployment management.
