Job Description
We are seeking an experienced ETL Developer to join our client’s team in Warren, NJ. The ideal candidate will have at least 9 years of professional experience in ETL development with strong hands-on expertise in SQL Server, SSIS, and data warehousing. This role requires leadership capabilities, technical problem-solving skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of developers responsible for ETL processes, data pipelines, and data warehouse operations.
- Design, develop, and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and views.
- Build and manage data workflows for ingestion, transformation, cleansing, and migration using SSIS and T-SQL.
- Maintain and administer Microsoft SQL Server 2019 or newer, including database design and performance tuning.
- Troubleshoot and enhance T-SQL statements, stored procedures, and other database components.
- Apply advanced understanding of data modeling, including normalized, de-normalized, star, and snowflake schemas.
- Drive performance optimization for large-scale data queries and ETL jobs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze technical issues and recommend effective solutions.
- Ensure timely resolution of issues while communicating status and risks with stakeholders.
- Leverage Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines for code deployment and process automation.
- Work with data formats such as JSON and XML within SSIS scripting and transformations.
- Maintain a deep understanding of data warehousing concepts and best practices.
Required Qualifications
- 9+ years of professional experience in ETL development and database management.
- Expertise in Microsoft SQL Server (2019 and above) and SSIS.
- Proficiency in T-SQL, including writing and troubleshooting complex queries.
- Hands-on experience with data modeling and data warehouse design.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps and CI/CD deployment practices.
- Experience with structured and semi-structured data formats (e.g., JSON, XML).
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to adapt in a high-paced, rapidly changing environment.
