Job Title : Agile Delivery Lead (Scrum Master / Delivery Manager)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and driven Agile Delivery Lead (Scrum Master / Delivery Manager) with a strong background in software development. This is a hybrid role requiring a combination of Scrum Master and Delivery Management expertise. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience managing cross-functional software projects and driving agile methodologies for large-scale, complex technical initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Team Collaboration:
    Lead teams in delivering business value through effective execution. Foster a collaborative and high-performing environment for engineering teams.
  • Ceremony Facilitation & Coaching:
    Facilitate agile ceremonies (e.g., daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives) and adjust them as needed based on the team’s maturity and requirements.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    Identify and address impediments and bottlenecks, continuously optimizing workflows and team performance.
  • Stakeholder Management:
    Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders through clear communication and expectation-setting.
  • Delivery & Risk Management:
    Own the delivery of high-quality software, track project dependencies, mitigate risks, and escalate when necessary.
  • Backlog Management:
    Collaborate with Product Owners/Managers to ensure a well-managed product backlog (DEEP principles). Support teams with user story writing, prioritization, and feedback loops.
  • Metrics & Reporting:
    Utilize tools like Jira to track team progress, report on performance metrics (velocity, throughput, team maturity), and provide transparency on project health.

Top Skills & Qualifications

Hard Skills:

  • Proven experience managing and delivering cross-functional software projects
  • Strong technical delivery management skills, including facilitating ceremonies and driving results
  • Extensive experience working with both Agile and Waterfall methodologies on complex projects

Soft Skills:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with teams and executive leadership
  • Ability to navigate complex enterprise environments and resolve issues proactively
  • Leadership experience with a focus on servant leadership, empowerment, and team accountability

Required Experience:

  • 5+ years as a Scrum Master or Delivery Manager for a software development team using Agile principles
  • Experience managing a full scope of work, partnering with cross-functional teams to plan and execute initiatives
  • Deep understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and when to apply them based on project needs

Preferred Experience:

  • Familiarity with Agile practices such as User Stories, ATDD, TDD, BDD, Continuous Integration/Testing, Pair Programming, etc.
  • Software product development background
  • Experience with change management and process improvement in Agile environments

Additional Requirements

  • Communication Skills: Must possess exceptional communication skills, with the ability to engage and present to teams, partners, and executives.
  • Leadership: Proven experience in servant leadership, facilitating conflict resolution, and empowering teams to achieve their best.
  • Tools: Proficient in using Jira and other Agile tools to track, measure, and report team performance and project health.
