Job Title: Stress Engineer
Location: Wichita, KS (Onsite)
Duration: 6+ Months

Responsibilities:
  • Stress Analysis Execution on Concessions Stress Support at Onsite for various NCs
  • Repair and escapement Stress Assessments at Onsite Factory on the  specific high priority requirement
  • Execution on VM Stress Support at Factory at Onsite to support Live Production.
  • Technical  Support  to customer Lead at Kinston and attend day to day meetings with customers  
  • Support to understand and determine some stress assessment approaches/requirements from Airbus to solve NC issues. 
  • Extraction of loads, stresses from GFEM.
  • Creation of DFEM models
  • Static stress analysis of primary and secondary Aircraft structural components
  • Extraction of material data, geometry details and fastener specifications from part and assembly drawings.
  • Fatigue & DT life calculation using standard methods
  • Sizing of primary and secondary structural parts for static, fatigue & DT requirements
  • Preparation of stress certification dossiers 
  • Concessions stress analysis
Qualifications Basic:
  • Comprehensive knowledge on Stress analysis of Aero structures.
Preferred:
  • Experience in CATIA V5 (Surface design, Sheet metal, Tubing\Ducting, Composites)
  • Experience in Stress analysis softwares (Ansys, MSN Nastran, ISAMI)
  • Experience in Enovia
  • Experience in the Stress analysis of Aero-structures 
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
