Sr Test Analyst
Denver, CO
Client is looking for an experienced Senior Test Analyst (QE) to join our engineering team and to work with one of the leading financial services organization in the US. The candidate must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with domain experts and technical experts in the team. The candidate must have proven experience in test design and analyzing and trouble-shooting results with a development team. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in preparing & executing test cases, requirement analysis, functional & performance test development and automation.
Responsibilities:
Work with the scrum team to identify testing needs and opportunities.
Work with the QA team in developing a QA testing strategy for the project, determining the appropriate balance of manual and automated tests, as well as the types of tests (UI, functional/performance/load, and so on
Create manual test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
Execute and report on the full testing suite of both manual and automated tests.
Responsible for delivering the Quality Engineering services (Code quality, Testing Services, Performance Engineering, Testing, Development Collaboration, Continuous Integration
Collaborate and work with technology staff including Quality Engineers, Operations, Developers, DevOps Engineers (SRE), Product management, and Product Architecture to identify scope of project/s and deliver services.
Identify areas of automating the regression and manual test cases
Willing to learn new tools and technologies
Manage the creation and updating of test cases.
Ensure that testers evaluate discrepancies between expected results and actual results of test execution.
Ensure that defects are appropriately recorded.
Manage the defect lifecycle. Provide dashboard reporting and trend analysis.
Provide test execution status reporting.
Collaborate with other test leads to help develop and improve existing test methodology and processes.
Communicate test details, result summaries, and status of releases.
Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering or other related discipline
Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, able to communicate with technical people as well as business and management.
Expertise in QA methodologies, Test Process and practices.
Experience in QA efforts in Agile development process
5 plus years of experience with manual testing, developing and executing test scripts
Expertise in various forms of software testing: functional and non-functional testing – Integration, System, Regression, and End to End testing
Proficient with Test Case and Defect Management skills across SDLC process is required
Understanding of Database queries and able to run database queries to validate data, prepare test data
Basic understanding of Microsoft .NET technology and concepts and OOPS concepts
Basis understanding of test automation frameworks
Nice to have - Knowledge in CI/CD using Jenkins
