Sr. Software Engineer x4 Contract to Hire Eden Prairie MN PROJECT: The resource will be responsible for the design and development of Web applications to support the Expansion project TOP REQUIREMENTS: Java, Angular 8 or plus, Microservices, MYSQL, MVC, Web Application, Web API development and security implementation. * What experience will set candidates apart from one another? Must have experience developing Web Applications using Angular 8 or plus, exposure to building microservices Web API and should be able to mentor other junior developers. Primary Responsibilities: * Design, implement, test, debug and document integration solutions and enhance existing components to ensure that software meets the business needs * Contribute to the design and architecture to enable secure, scalable, and maintainable software and should be able to clearly articulate the implications of design/architectural decisions, issues and plans to technology leadership * Provide hands-on leadership, coaching, mentoring, and software engineering best practices to junior software engineers * Develop reusable patterns and encourage innovation that will increase team velocity * Collaborate on the design with other team members and product owners, both inside and outside the scrum team * Conduct design and code reviews to ensure code developed meets or exceeds coding best practices guidelines, unit testing, security, and scalability and maintainability guidelines * Develop code based upon the functional designs, conforming to software coding practices using Java, Angular. Required Qualifications: * 8+ years of experience in Software design, architecture and programming * Undergraduate degree in IT field or equivalent experience * 5+ years of development and testing experience in Java * 3+ years of experience working with relational databases * 2+ years working with RESTful services * 2+ years of Agile delivery experience * 1+ years of Cloud experience Preferred Qualifications: * Healthcare industry experience strongly preferred * Understanding of Spring Framework, JMS, multi-threading, and XML * Working experience with one or more of the following Maven, Openshift, Jenkins, Github, and MySQL is a plus * Knowledge of Angular 8 is a plus * Extensive experience in complex projects with division or company-wide scope Required Skills: Java - Back end Angular - Front end Microservices in GROOVY
