Job Title: Python Engineer
Type: W2-Contract

Required Skills:
We have a meeting with the manager on the 13th to set interviews! Candidate MUSTS: - Expert in python
- Rust experience (strong Rust will win)
- AWS
- Cloudformation/CDK for infrastructure as code
- Frontend development (VUEJS preferred but any is fine)
DERMs Project – Agile Environment. Candidate will need good soft skills to win.
- Work will be increasing Q1as need grows
- Initiative to help energy startups with smart thermostats – this is fairly new venture
- Eventual goal is for half a million thermostats for this project
Team Structure
- Broken down into a few different teams each with 7 people
Day to Day - Regular dev with Python and Rust
- Picked up Rust for more performant code instead of relying only on Python in AWS
- Fairly new, will be doing a lot of net new development
- Rust is new to their environment and are still developing their back bench would be great for someone to be a sme here – doesn’t need to teach everyone but would be great
- Cloudformation w/ typescript or python – big plus – asked about Typescript but not even a bigger bonus, fine with someone who has another JS library
- Front end would be a big bonus, vuejs
Must-Haves (Concepts & Tools): - Expert in python
- Rust experience (strong Rust will win)

Educational Qualification: Minimum Bachelor's in Computer Science & Engineering or Equivalent Degree.
