Job Description
Who are we looking for?
A mid-senior level Oracle DB Ops lead for managing a critical project for one of our biggest clients in BFSI domain. The Individual should be passionate about technology, experienced in developing and managing cutting edge technology applications.
Technical Skills:
- 9 or more years of experience in database Operational experience using Oracle 12c R1 and 19c versions.
- Strong experience in oracle DB related consultancy & procedure
- Expert /well versed with Oracle DB architecture.
- Strong performance tuning skills in a very large database environment.
- Proactively monitoring the database's health and taking preventive or corrective action as required
- Experience in Manage/co-ordinate in User Role and Privileges and provide report for Database Audit
- Real time exposure on High availability in Oracle Environment RAC, Data guard, Clustering, Golden Gate, ASM, Replication
- Should have worked on Disaster Recovery Plan, Shell Scripting knowledge, Database Migration / Upgrades
- Troubleshooting knowledge on SQL, PL/SQL programs, Packages, Stored procedures, Functions and Triggers to automate the interface processes for daily/incremental loads.
- Ability to use SQL Trace and AWR reports to analyze results, then to recommend options for problem resolution.
- Expert level knowledge in writing/troubleshooting PL/SQL queries, shell scripting.
- Strong experience with Oracle RMAN backup/recovery methodologies.
- Must be able to organize work efficiently and work well under stress, changing priorities, and time constraints.
- Familiarity with Splunk and Fog light tools /OEM tools
- Should be able to guide /recommend DB developers as needed.
- Co-ordinate with I&O DB team for any DR activity, patching, performance issues etc..
- Lead and co-ordinate with various Infra and Apps teams during Techlines or any major releases.
- Should act as point of contact for any DB related information from an Apps perspective. ( go to for any DB related info for developers)
- Recommend database tuning and performance monitoring as needed.
- Perform general technical trouble shooting and give consultation to development teams.
- Assist developers with database activities.
- Troubleshooting and monitoring of any Apps specific batch jobs , services etc..
- Experience with Linux/Unix/AIX operating systems.
Other Skills requirement:
- Responsible for planning and designing Oracle database specifications, understanding database definition, structure, etc.
- Support customer troubleshooting and problem-solving during data verification.
- Define, track, and maintain standard baselines and configuration sets of all managed and/or monitored database instances.
- Performance problem identification and resolution assistance
- Data security and recovery
- Data and database health practices
- Participate in currency patching ( OS & DB patch) and System capacity planning.
- Familiar with Aduit and compliance guidelines and procedures.
- Having sound knowledge of ITIL practices like Change Management, Incident Management etc.
- Develop and maintain storage strategies, establishing system documentation and database recovery processing.
- Identify and initiate resolutions to user problems associated with database performance and database capacity, utilizing best practices to maximize up time and server utilization.
- Review and deploy the database components for new versions of web applications/products to test and production environments using release management practices.
- Willingness to provide support in non-business hours, weekend bi-weekly on-call rotation for support.
Responsible for DR tests on regular basis.

Qualification:
