Job Description:
Responsible for ensuring the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of multi-disciplinary on-premises and cloud services information systems that support core organizational functions. This position will be focused on initiatives for our Infrastructure team in support of Infra Security requirements, projects, and audits achieved by monitoring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all network software and associated operating systems. Responsible for applying proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate, and resolve issues to maximize the benefit of IT systems investments.
Position Requirements Formal Education & Certification
• Knowledge ordinarily obtained through a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Information Systems, Engineering or related field plus a minimum of 6 to 8 years work; or 8 to 10 years of progressive information system experience with 6 - 8 years in a Compute or System/Network engineer or equivalent role.
• Preferred candidates will be certified in one or more of the following technologies – Microsoft, VMware, Red Hat, Dell Data Center Hardware, Cisco (CCNP, CCIE) or Cisco Meraki, F5, Check Point, Network+. Knowledge & Experience
• Experience with the planning, implementation, and optimization of Microsoft 365, with a focus on security optimization and data protection services
• Extensive Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws, including but not limited to (PII, PCI).
• Extensive experience with remediation of cryptographic protocols (e.g., TLS).
• Experience with Public Key Infrastructure and enterprise level life cycle certificate management
• Knowledge and experience with Okta, CyberArk, Rapid7 is preferred.
• Knowledge of Atlassian’s Jira and Confluence products is helpful.
• Experience with software systems, applications, and related products in a Microsoft and/or Linux environment.
• Experience with core data center systems including MS Exchange Server, MS SQL Server, Active Directory and VMware.
• Experience with network and PC operating systems, including Windows 10.
• Experience with antivirus software (e.g., Sentinel One, Trend Micro, McAfee)
• Experience with patch management software (e.g., Ivanti).
• Experience with vulnerability management tools, and logging systems.
• Knowledge and experience with server virtualization.
• Knowledge and experience with PowerShell scripting.
• Extensive hands-on technical knowledge of network systems, protocols, and standards such as Ethernet, LAN, WAN, SDWAN, TCP/IP, 802.11x, etc.
• Strong knowledge of network management and analysis tools, including Cisco Prime, NetBrain, Meraki, Cisco ISE.
• Experience working in a switched and routed environment.
• Expert hardware, software, and network connection troubleshooting experience.
• Working technical knowledge of current network hardware, including Cisco and Cisco Meraki
• Skilled with installing/configuring - switches, routers, bridges, etc.
• Knowledge of Cisco, Check Point, and/or Palo Alto firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and other network security measures.
