Job Title: Sr. Marketo Administrator

Job Description:

This position is responsible for the administration and governance of Marketo instances working within a team and reporting to the Marketo Program Lead. This person will be performing the following:

  • Develop a functional Roadmap of the instance, scope the business needs in to Marketo utilization, define the operational framework of maximizing and maturing the Marketo environment
  • Applying compliance and legal requirements (CAN-SPAM, GDPR, CCPA, data security, branding, etc.) to Marketo; defining user roles and developing guidance to support the compliance
  • Review and perform technical implementation and administrative set up of the Marketo instance, integrations with internal and external systems, collaboration with IT/GSM teams on data flow orchestration
  • Develop Marketo Center of Excellence ensuring scalability, efficiency, best practices, and innovative approach; provide Marketo training, onboarding and upskilling processes
  • Implement Lead Scoring and Lead Life Cycle, optimize lead flow, build Nurture and Engagement programs; set up data management programs; optimize Marketo campaigns (incl Testing and piloting)
  • Provide marketing technology expertise and support of the key marketing initiatives and priorities
  • Conduct troubleshooting, leveraging available resources for tracing down and removing technical issues
  • Provide reporting and analytics in Marketo, develop a marketing performance framework
  • Ensure Data quality improvement, establish and ramp up data hygiene practices.
  • Employee should be able to gather and analyze the business needs, system requirements, and existing processes, translate it into and perform a chain of actions, projects, including complex cross-team collaborative or change-imposing initiates.
  • Scope business needs and be able to translate them into cohesive Marketo Roadmap, prioritize the projects and tasks, and be able to make progress under high pressure and high volume workload.
  • Identify technical/system limitations or issues, be able to mitigate them, provide short term workarounds and develop solutions for the business.
  • Employee should autonomously conduct administration and governance of the Marketo instance, escalating the critical issues to the manager, obtaining guidance and advice from questions outside/overlapping areas of responsibility.
  • The employee should be able to manage and remediate a situation when a marketing team requests and insists on a particular item, while it might be exposing a compliance risk or operational inefficiency.
  • The employee needs to identify roadblocks (either system limitations, or skill gap, or dependencies on other teams) and be able to address them, and/or escalate to the manager and propose a plan.
  • Hard skills: expert knowledge of Marketo platform (Marketo Certified expert); intermediate knowledge of CRM (SFDC); understanding of business concepts, demand generation, marketing and sales funnel, CAN-SPAM, CASL, GDPR, CCPA requirements.

Soft skills: strong communication and people skills, project management, self-starting approach.

At least 5 years of marketing/IT dev experience, Marketo Certified Expert certification required, and bachelor 's degree required
