:
Sr. Manager Data Collection
What You Will Do
Lead and develop a team of Engineers, Engineering Technicians and Data Labelers.
Lead data collection activities for multiple sites in the US, India and Europe
Lead team of data monitoring technicians. This team operates 24 hours a day supporting multiple sites across the world
Lead DevOps activities to ensure data collected is stored appropriately in Cloud (AWS)
Execute, supervise, and report data collection
activities in accordance with the approved protocols.
Perform QA and provide feedback on data quality to other team members and management
Manage and assign resources to support data collection, data collection monitoring and tech support and data labelling.
Ensure schedules for data collection labs are run at an optimal level and optimize the test subject experience in our labs.
Monitor team performance and coach team members to attain high team productivity.
Work with legal and compliance team to ensure all data collection activities are performed per local data privacy laws
What You Need
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
8+ years in data management or cloud administration
4+ years’ experience managing teams of engineers and technician preferably in the information technology industry.
Experience in organizing work groups, training staffs, and ensuring quality compliance.
Ability to work with incomplete technical information.
Strong organizational and management skills, with an ability to operate in a rapidly changing environment.
Ability to maintain quality, focus and accuracy whilst performing repetitive tasks.
Experience in technical supervisory role, especially in image/video data labelling and processing is highly desirable.
Extended understanding of hardware with respect to data management: I/O throughputs, caching technologies, etc.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to hold effective technical discussions.
Ability to resolve workplace issues effectively.
Commitment to team productivity and work quality.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
What is Nice to Have
Experience in developing scripts (e.g., in Python) for general data processing.
Experience with large scale data collection
Experience with AWS is a big plus.
Ability to identify ways to improve data reliability, efficiency, and quality
Experience with CI tools such as Git, Jenkins, Jira
