Title: Sr. Java Developer

Location: St Louis, MO

Duration: 18 months
W2 ONLY

MUST have requirements:
o Java and Kafka experience
o GCP (google Cloud Platform) experience - Big Query
o RESTful Web Services

Summary of EWS:  Our client is a global information solutions company that uses trusted unique data, creative analytics, technology and industry expertise to power organizations and individuals around the world by transforming knowledge into insights that help make more informed business and personal decisions. They will be expanding their offers based on the demand for their data across many new streams (to be announced later this year 

He wants a senior resource that could serve as a "thought leader" and contribute to the overall design of the front-end of the Transformed Employer Services web portal. React.js, Redux and D3.js are pluses. Major selling point is this resource will get the opportunity to work on a product that will be cloud native (Google Cloud Platform They are looking to embed this person on the I9 squad but he/she would contribute to the front-end developer across all of the ES tribes.

Key tools used across all of EWS’ Shared Engineering verticals (both Dev and QE) include the following:
SonarQube - continuous analysis of code quality
Jira
BitBucket - version control
HP45 - vulnerability scanning

Other very nice to have:
 Java, GCP (or other cloud platform), Spring Boot, NoSQL (or RDBMS and wanting to learn NoSQL)

This tribe known as Data Engineering is designing and developing a data analytics platform that will be consumed by EWS clients and internal stakeholders who need access to operational metrics. They are about 50% through their Transformation journey. Today they need to add a person proficient in Google's BigQuery tool. They need expertise in Performance Tuning, Query Optimization and Data Flow. Candidates should be proficient on the back end in Java and Python.


The platform is being built in Java and RESTful Services on Google Cloud Platform (GCP Data will be pouring in via Pub/Sub (similar to Kafka They are using Google Kubernetes Engine, BigQuery and other native tools that will allow them to easily expand their capabilities and scale up. The internal stakeholders are using Tableau for data visualization.
