QUALIFICATIONS:

Top 3 Required Skills/Experience – The most important must-have skills. Include:

Infrastructure Architecture of large-scale, enterprise-wide secure systems like Identity Management, Web Services/API’s, Web Portals, J2EE, Web/Web2.0, EAI, SharePoint, Cloud and Client Server technologies. (5 Years)

Deep Infrastructure Architecture expertise of Distributed Database Systems, Network Architecture, Server and Storage Virtualization and Cloud computing. (5 Years)

Application Infrastructure knowledge of Performance Management, Desktop and Telephony Systems. (3 Years)

Education/Certifications – Include:

Bachelor’s degree is required.
Master’s degree is not required but preferred:
Works as an internal consultant.
Viewed as an expert and provides knowledge and counsel to others.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Engagement Description - A brief description of the project or initiative. Include:

Provide overall direction, guidance, definition and facilitation for the development of an architecture (current and future state) required to meet business strategies and goals
Responsibilities include advocacy and support of the enterprise IT strategies, identification and analysis of enterprise business drivers to derive useful business context, analysis of the current IT environment to detect critical deficiencies and recommend solutions for improvement, and the development of strategies aligning IT to business
Architects interface across all business areas, acting as visionaries to proactively assist in defining the direction for future projects
They conceive strategies, solutions, build consensus, and sell/execute solutions.
They are involved in all aspects of the project life cycle, from the initial kickoff through the requirements analysis, design and implementation.
Additional responsibilities may include the establishment of the overall architectural viewpoints and the establishment and oversight of organization standards and policies.
Architects identify major system interfaces, business capabilities needs, and existing architecture weaknesses and opportunities for systems.

Required Skills/Experience – The rest of the required skills/experience. Include:

Knowledge of technologies and/or business verticals is expected.

Extensive knowledge of the existing and planned software technology and played a prior lead role in software standards establishment and major platform changes
Experience with Distributed Database Systems, Web Portals, SSO Identity and Access management, Network Architecture, Server and Storage Virtualization and Cloud computing, J2EE Middleware and ESB technologies, Performance Management, Desktop and Telephony Systems Modeling integration of applications and systems
Ability to quickly adapt and gain knowledge of the company’s total computing, network and data environment including major roles, daily operations and organizational responsibilities
Prior experience consulting on planning, migration and implementation issues for information technologies and related architectural concepts
Knowledgeable about matters surrounding integration and communication among applications, databases and technology platforms
Ability to express ideas and concepts in pictures, therefore a solid modeling background will be useful.
Understanding of emerging technologies
Ability to be vendor/product-neutral and maintain an objective perspective business knowledge
Innovative, creative thinker that is also results focused
Firmly in control of delivering an appropriate set of products and services in a timely fashion as a lead and mentor
Initiative to persuade, inspire, motivate and influence a broad audience, in addition the ability to make quality decisions with a high level of stakeholder buy-in
Ability to effectively convey the results of the architecture
Provide architecture requirements and blueprints to design teams and review the project designs per the governance process
Conduct Non-functional review of business requirements and produce system availability, scalability and maintain technical requirements for build/design
Identifies user requirements by researching and analyzing user needs, preferences, objectives, and working methods; studying how users consume content, including data categorization and labeling; meeting with focus groups.
Plans information architecture by studying the site concept, strategy, and target audience; envisioning architectural scheme, information structure and features, functionality, and user-interface design; creating user scenarios; preparing data models; designing information structure, work-and dataflow, and navigation; evaluating information representation; conducting creative meetings.

Preferred Skills/Experience – Optional but preferred skills/experience. Include:

A minimum of 10-15 years of experience in business/IT consulting roles within large corporations preferred.
Typically required to summarize and present findings to executive levels. A wide degree of creativity, independence, and latitude is expected.
Excellent analytical, organizational, verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrate a strong sense of accountability for project commitments and be comfortable working in unstructured, dynamic team environments.
Knowledge of a variety of current and emerging technologies
