Job Description:

We are currently hiring for a Hybrid Data Scientist position in Houston, TX, which requires two days of onsite presence per week. We discovered your contact information in our database and believe your qualifications may align with our requirements for this role.
 
As a Data Scientist, you will be responsible for applying your expertise in machine learning, data mining, and information retrieval to design, prototype, and build next-generation advanced analytics engines and services. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams and business partners to define technical problem statements and hypotheses, developing efficient and accurate analytical models that mimic business decisions, and integrating these models into analytical data products and tools. Your contributions will directly influence current and future strategies through analytical insights and effective communication of results.
 
Key responsibilities include collaborating with business partners to develop innovative solutions, deploying data science solutions using Python, SQL, and PySpark on platforms like Databricks, and translating models into production-ready code. You will also implement CI/CD pipelines, manage code repositories with GitHub Enterprise, and design optimized mathematical programming and machine learning models for real-world applications such as incentive elasticity. The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of experience as a Data Scientist, with hands-on experience in enterprise data science solutions, particularly in retail, inventory management, or operations research. Proficiency in Python, SQL, and PySpark, along with experience in Databricks or similar cloud environments and production-level coding, is essential. Familiarity with machine learning techniques, mathematical optimization methods, and libraries such as NumPy, SciPy, scikit-learn, MLlib, PyTorch, and TensorFlow is also required, with specific experience in Price Elasticity being highly valued.
