Position: Sr. Data Analyst

Job Description:
The main function of a Data Analyst is to coordinate changes to computer databases, test, and implement the database applying knowledge of database management systems.
Job Responsibilities:
Work with senior management, technical and client teams in order to determine data requirements, business data implementation approaches, best practices for advanced data manipulation, storage and analysis strategies Write and code logical and physical database descriptions and specify identifiers of database to management system or direct others in coding descriptions Design, implement, automate and maintain large scale enterprise data ETL processes Modify existing databases and database management systems and/or direct programmers and analysts to make changes Test programs or databases, correct errors and make necessary modifications
Skills:
Experience with database technologies Knowledge of the ETL process Knowledge of at least one scripting language Strong written and oral communication skills Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills Demonstrated history of success Desire to be working with data and helping businesses make better data driven decisions Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required 8 years applicable experience
Specific Requirements from the Platform:
- Data profiling of SORs and understanding how the data should be extracted to support the use cases.
- Extracting relevant data based on a use case from SORs through the following (Partnership with D&I) : Data lake raw ,Data lake produced
Surface Facility Data Hub (for data that needs to be harmonized into a single data model )SQL databases. - Building data pipelines (data factory) to transfer and format data from Chevron sources to SAAS Providers.
- Addressing data quality issues by contextualizing tag information and providing reports on data gaps in SORs for BUs to address
Engineering domain knowledge. - Data quality experience related ti tag coverage, data consistency, correctness and relationships etc.
- Engineering domain knowledge and experience with digital twin data efforts.
Educational Qualification: Minimum Bachelor's in Computer Science & Engineering or Equivalent Degree.
