Job Responsibilities:

Involve in producing court statistics report and developing new and innovative ways of
conducting and reporting court statistics.
Analyze the requirements and segregate the court historical data into high level and low-
level use cases.
Assist research staff in the development of surveys, their distribution, and the collection and
analysis of survey responses related to filings and dispositions issues in the courts.
Proficient in gathering business and technical requirements from both formal and informal
sessions through interviews, meetings, questionnaire, video conferencing, JAD sessions and
conference calls from different courts.
Perform data cleaning in R to detect missing values using the tidyr and dplyr packages from
the Tidyverse for the court historical data.
Import the 10-year court statistics data files, created functions to read and join the files and
generate data visualizations of state wise 58 court statistics of the data using Python.
Write complex queries in oracle SQL developer tool to combine JBSIS data and jury data to
ensure consistency.
Use clauses such as ‘WHERE’ and ‘ORDER BY’ to fetch the record type code for each court
report code.
Perform testing in R to validate the quality of development workflow.
Use Tableau to generate visualizations of courts statistics report for statewide caseload
trends that helped superior courts to summaries of their case filing counts to the Judicial
Use the data tables in the data warehouse, develop dashboards that show filings, hearings,
dispositions and other elements that are tracked in the CMS (Case Management System)
Develop an interactive dashboard that described about the count of JBSIS case type by
report in 2019 CSR, used calculation field using Level of Detail (LOD) expressions to create a
new variable for the count of CSR.
Analyze and write SQL queries in the database environment.
Analyze data using statistical software like (STATA or R) and maintain database files.
Attend training sessions on Snowflake (data warehouse) and Talend (ETL tool) tool.
Use Talend as an ETL tool to consolidate data from multiple sources into central data
warehouse environment.
Develop cleaned and categorized court statistics data on Python using Pandas, Regular
Expressions, SciPy, Matplotlib for court’s segmentation by year and demographic
Develop data visualization through PowerBI using cross tabs, heat maps, box and whisker
charts, scatter plots, geographic map, pie charts and bar charts for filtering by year, by court,
and by demographic characteristic (e.g. male/female, ethnicity, etc.
Analyze data volumes and report performance statistics using graphs, charts, ad-hoc reports
and dashboards on Tableau and MS Excel.
Participate in daily and weekly team meetings.
Perform data analysis to determine the completeness and accuracy of the data or checked if
new data needs to be pulled up/ requested.
Develop a story telling dashboards in Tableau Desktop and publish them on to Tableau
Server which allows end users to understand the caseload trends data on the fly with the
usage of quick filters for on demand needed information.
Prepare reports for executive leadership that effectively communicate trends, patterns, and
predictions using relevant data and present the results of the ongoing analysis to senior

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements for the position of Sr. Business Systems Analyst (Data Analyst)

Minimum Education - A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or closely related fields

Minimum Experience – 1 - 2 years of relevant experience
